Santuario welcomes AANI to organize a bazaar

The Santuario de San Vicente de Paul accepted the offer of Agri-Aqua Network International, Inc. (AANI) to organize and manage the BAZAAR, aimed primarily to support the St. Vincent Medical and Dental Clinic for indigent members living within the vicinity of St. Vincent Seminary.  The bazaar will be operational every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am-8:00pm starting next month.

Products that will be sold in the bazaar are mostly organic including food, snack items, beverages, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, beauty and wellness products, toys, dry goods, native products, and many more.

The bazaar is also meant to provide opportunities to members of our community especially those with products to sell, to build a community where families will be given a venue to develop camaraderie and bring the family together, and to make goods available for the people at a cheaper price.

We welcome more concessionaires to join the bazaar and we invite all churchgoers to patronize the products that are being sold in the bazaar so that we could continue to support our free medical and dental clinic for the indigents. For more details, you may contact AANI Main Office at 824-1843 or 824-1848 or you may log on at www.aaniphil.net.

Seminary Scholarship Program

by Sem. Eugenio Navida Jr., CM

The celebration of the 350th death anniversary of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louis de Marillac  attests to the continuation of the legacy of these two great saints. This is a year-long celebration for the whole Vincentian Family worldwide. The Santuario de San Vicente de Paul keeps this legacy by starting yet another program, the Santuario de San Vicente Scholarship Program. This scholarship program aims to help poor but deserving students who would become future leaders and sharers of hope to others. The Santuario draws its inspiration from our Patron, St. Vincent himself, who during his adolescent years, was eager to finish his studies. Unfortunately, his poor family could not afford to send him to school. It was through the benevolence of a certain rich man, Monsieur de Comet, that the young Vincent was able to go to school.  His studies became the doorway for his future ministry in serving the poor.  Similarly, with this scholarship program,  the Santuario hopes to  be able to help poor but deserving students to fulfill their dreams. Currently, the program is serving three students who are taking technical courses in college. These students are also given values and human formation, and English proficiency tutorial sessions by the Pre-Internal Seminarians from St. Vincent Seminary.  They also serve as working students in the Santuario on Sundays and special events.

At present, the Santuario de San Vicente Scholarship program has only Fr. Mario Colina, CM as its sponsor. The Santuario is presently looking for generous sponsors who will share in its dream to continue its efforts and commitment in forming future leaders and in giving more opportunities for the poor but deserving students. It would also be an opportunity for the sponsors to share their blessings and defray the scholar’s expenses such as tuition fee and daily allowance.
